Skills & Qualifications
SLP and CF candidates:
Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric patients is preferred
Teletherapy experience preferred
Supervision experience is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
SLP-Assistant candidates:
Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric patients is preferred
Strong knowledge base and/or training in educational and patient care practices is essential
Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with speech and language delays is a plus
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with students, staff, and families
Responsibilities
SLP and CF candidates:
Administer and interpret a variety of assessments using standardized, criterion-referenced, and dynamic tools
Develop and implement therapy programs for students
Educate school staff members and family members
Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, student progress and treatment outcomes, supervision, and billing
Stay updated on new research and practices in speech/language pathology.
SLP-Assistant candidates:
Implement evidence-based speech therapy techniques to address various communication disorders, as directed by the SLP
Collaborate with SLP to support student progress
Provide early intervention services to children with communication delays
Accurately document student progress and treatment outcomes
Stay updated on new research and practices in speech/language therapy
